Supporting Elders Through Title VI Programs

Cynthia LaCounte, Director of the Office for American Indians, Alaskan Natives and Native Hawaiian Programs

There is an amazing group of people working hard to support elders across the country. They recently convened in Minneapolis, MN for the 2025 National Title VI Training & Technical Assistance Conference. At the helm is Cynthia LaCounte (pictured), Director of the Office for American Indians, Alaskan Natives and Native Hawaiian Programs Administration on Aging/Administration for Community Living. Cynthia has contagious energy which she willingly shares, making for a fun training event.

We got to spend more time with Dr. Colette Adamson, Director, NRCNAA, RCNAD and her team. They do a great job collecting data on aging to help focus attention on the areas needing it most, in addition to many other programs they oversee.

Our good friends from AARP were also there. Their partnership in providing information protecting elders from fraud via GoodHealthTV® is making a big impact. And, our new friends from IA2 have important information to share on Long Term Support Services (LTSS), empowering elders to stay in their homes longer.

It was an action-filled week. Please check out these organizations and the wonderful work they do to improve the lives of our elders!
