The Edutainment Method

The CDC recognizes entertainment education as an established method for health communication, pairing health messages with engaging, story-driven content to lower the audience's guard and make viewers genuinely receptive to messages that spark lasting change.

GoodHealthTV® is built on this framework, delivering programming that educates without lecturing, reaching individuals in the moments and places where they are most open to new health information. Content is developed against the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), Healthy People 2030 objectives, and the National Health Observances calendar.

This is not repurposed national content. GoodHealthTV® addresses the unique needs, communication styles, and beliefs of the communities it serves, and each subscribing facility places its own local programming, event announcements, and service information alongside network content, so messages reflect the community the viewer already knows.
