The time for fireworks is almost here! While all of the bright colors and different designs can be so much fun, it’s also important to remember safety comes first! Here are a few tips for enjoying fireworks and staying safe.
- Fireworks should only be used by an adult.
- Make sure the area is a clean, large, open space.
- Keep a bucket, water, or water hose nearby.
- Never aim or throw fireworks at another person.
- Clean up after yourself, soak “dud” fireworks in water, pick up trash and paper.
- Wear eye and ear protection when using fireworks.
- Keep people, homes, vehicles, dry grass, and other flammable items a safe distance away.
Celebrating with family and friends can be so much fun. Make the memories, enjoy the evening, and remember to practice safety!
