Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board

Great Plains 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifetime Awareness Campaign

Overview
Native Reach™ partnered with the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board (GPTLHB) to raise awareness of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifetime across tribal communities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. The campaign targeted American Indian audiences ages 14 and older, aiming to increase understanding and visibility of available crisis support resources. With a focus on culturally resonant messaging, the campaign helped normalize help-seeking behaviors and encouraged individuals to turn to 988 in times of need.
The Approach
Native Reach™ produced two 30 second videos and distributed them through a digital video campaign, tribal radio PSAs, and targeted GoodHealthTV® airtime placements. Messaging was tailored to Indigenous audiences and appeared in trusted environments where people were already focused on their health. Online ads targeted high performing interest categories such as health, wellness, and support services, while GoodHealthTV® reinforced campaign messages in clinical and community settings.
